Grammar: Comparative and superlative adjetives.
Ya hemos estudiado en lengua los grados del adjetivo. Ahora vamos a aprenderlos en inglés.
COMPARATIVO DE SUPERIORIDAD Y SUPERLATIVO RELATIVO.
short, shorter, the shortest / corto, más corto, el más corto.
dangerous/ peligroso
more dangerous / más peligroso the most dangerous / el más peligroso.
EXCEPCIONES:
- Si un adjetivo termina en e solamente se añade -r para el comparativo y -st para
el superlativo.
Nice, nicer, the nicest / amable, más amable, el más amable.
- Cuando termina en una sola consonante precedida de una
sola vocal, duplica la consonante.
Hot, hotter,
the hottest / caluroso,
más caluroso, el más caluroso.
- Si termina en consonante + y cambia la y por i.
Dry, drier, the driest / seco, más seco, el más seco.
